We talked about the slow dynamics in menswear, that are responsible for the slow change cycle in the foundations of menswear, but I did not showed you some examples, hence this post.

The Esquire’s illustration demonstrate my point. It is a roughly 80 years old illustration and we can easily visualize the gentleman in the left walking through the Central Park in the spring and I must add that I also loved the style of the gentleman in the right, but, unfortunately, cropped trousers are not fashionable anymore.

Back to the gentleman in the left, he dons a tweed jacket, a flannel trousers, a crepe soled suede shoes, a fedora hat, a maroon silk scarf, a silk pocket square and a walking stick. The last one is optional.
